About Cushions
Cushions are among the beautiful Qashqai handwovens. Wool and merino wool are often used to weave cushions. Also, various weaving techniques such as carpet weaving, Kilim weaving, jajim weaving, rand weaving etc are used to prepare cushions. Common sizes for cushions are 30×30 and 40×40 square centimeter. Often, simple fabrics of the same color as the cushion are used as the back lining. The cushions are woven hollow and then filled with special pillows.
