Sofreh Kilim

Tablecloth (which call Sofre) is one of the nomadic handwovens that is used when baking bread. When baking bread, nomadic women put the chins of the dough on the table to prevent contamination of the dough. Woolen or cotton yarns are usually used for weaving table cloth. Tablecloths often has white background color and a dark border. This white background is decorated with simple motifs.
